Summary: For over 40 years the Midwest Fruit Workers have met annually in an unofficial capacity to provide commercial fruit growers with up-to-date integrated pest management (IPM) recommendations. Our IPM approach is to provide a spray schedule based on phenology, recommend reduced risk pesticides, and mitigate pesticide resistance by including the FRAC/IRAC/HRAC codes for every pesticide recommended. If a grower follows our recommendations, they will maximize the effectiveness of pesticide applications without jeopardizing fruit quality (yield, nutrition, profit), reduce human health risks, and mitigate pesticide resistance. If our proposal is successful, we will provide an affordable mobile-friendly guide ($15 print copy; FREE download), serve online and offline communities (i.e. Amish and Mennonites), and recommend integrated pest management practices that promote fruit stewardship.

Objectives: Objective 1: Optimize pest management for Midwest fruit growers through concise and targeted recommendations.
Objective 2: Develop a mobile-friendly pest management guide dedicated to assisting commercial producers.
